While shopping in town I saw three adults (2 males and a female) in charge of two very young children (one in a flimsy buggy and carrying the other). They were obviously heavily under the influence of alcohol or drugs. To my horror I saw them taking a chance of running across a very busy main road dodging between cars and lorries…luckily no one was injured.

I saw two uniformed police officers approaching so I stopped to give them an account of the incident and ask them for some support – they informed me that they were from another area and only in the town for a court appearance!

They told me that I would need to report the incident to my local Police Station as they couldn’t help me!

Not good enough!!
