As a business owner I've never had any problems. Police have been good and seem to be doing their jobs.

On the other hand trying to get the council to do anything is difficult, especially the roads. The roads are now full of pot holes and it's since the snow has cleared that we've noticed. It's really hard to take the kids to school now.

Suggestion

Repair the roads

Police Response: Re: Pot Holes In Perth

I can confirm that we are doing our jobs the only gripe is that sometimes there are too many of them!!!!!!! But I am sure I am not the only person with that gripe.

No doubt the Local Authority will be working flat out. I noticed a number of road works on the M90 at the weekend and can only assume that it will be resurfacing work.

Driving at night now, when you cannot see the pot holes as clearly or as quickly is a bit tricky.

Thanks again.

Community Policing, I always thought Community Policing was about Coppers in the Community. Western Division, Crieff Section have several Officers alledgedly nominated as dedicated community officers for certain areas. They talk a good talk in the press but when are they actually going to do some actual foot patrols in the ares that they are allocated. I would like to recieve a breakdown of actual hours spent on foot patrols in their respective allocated areas.
It would appear that a lot of policing now is reverting to Fire Service Policing, you get us when you need us, reactive instead of proactive.

I feel this person is being unfair with regard to it being "difficult" to get the council to do "anything". Perhaps if they reported any issues using the following link(s) they might get the reaction they seek. Incidentally, the council have ALWAYS been quick to respond to anything I've reported - either on-line or by telephone! I is worth noting that if the pot-hole is with the town boundary you should use this link:
http://www.pkc.gov.uk/Report+it+online.htm
However, if outwith the boundary (i.e. a trunk road)Scotland Transerve is who you should contact:
